  15. Thanks for the prompt response everyone.  Three or four of you wrote me 
  16. and told me to investigate Expect.  I'd heard that of it before, but I 
  17. didn't know what it did until now.  So, for future readers of this 
  18. thread, if you need to automate tasks on remote machines, Expect seems to 
  19. be the easiest way to do it.
